Ericsson Centralized User Database (CUDB) has the flexibility to accommodate subscription profiles for new applications and expanded services. Its linear scalability is guaranteed both in terms of capacity and throughput, without latency degradation.

CUDB ensures data consistency and integrity, and provides redundancy mechanisms. The physical and logical distribution of data is transparent to any data user (HLR/AUC, application servers, BSS). Communication with data users is through standard Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).

Ericsson CUDB has proven multi-vendor references and proven high-subscriber capacity on live systems. To date, 59 contracts have been signedin 42 countries on all continents in which Ericsson CUBD is in use, including multiple types of integrated Front Ends. That represents a capacity of more than 800 million contracted subscribers.
