These positions primarily focuses on developing your Human, Business and Professional competencies - the three areas that Ericsson has identified as key to making your career a success.
Human - your role will provide a variety of 'soft skills' training in areas where you will need expertise - including presentation, influencing, negotiation and innovation. You will already have some of these skills to a greater or lesser extent and the program will focus you on developing and applying these in your daily work life. However, Ericsson will then seek to further develop your skills by ensuring you are given ‘live’, customer facing projects wherever possible.
Business - whilst you should strive to be an expert in your area, it is essential to be aware of the 'bigger picture'. As such, you will be given an insight into the telecommunications market and receive briefings from the people who drive the strategy of Ericsson forward. Additionally, we will provide you with a thorough understanding of the roles of the different business units within an organisation such as Ericsson, and how these units interrelate.
Professional - whatever the area you join, a training path will be designed to ensure you gain expertise in the relevant areas. This will be done in conjunction with your manager and your broader development plan. You will be provided with a number of formal courses, complimented by on the job training to consolidate your learning. Furthermore, should you develop an interest in a particular field, Ericsson will do its best to accommodate your development in this direction, in accordance with the needs of the business at any given time.
Your specific position will provide you with broad knowledge of Ericsson and the telecommunications marketplace in general. You will gain an overview of the business and support sectors, whilst also beginning to define your chosen career path.
