Ericsson has appointed John Kelly as the new Director and Key Account Manager for the Ericsson Australia and New Zealand Enterprise Customer Unit. John has held senior sales and general management roles with Telstra and Damovo and has more than 20 years experience in the ICT industry.

Mr. Kelly will join Ericsson in mid-November and report to Bill Zikou, CEO of Ericsson Australia and New Zealand.

Mr. Zikou said that John brings to Ericsson a wealth of industry experience, sales and people leadership expertise.

“The enterprise market is a strategic priority for Ericsson and we are very happy that John will be leading this team,” added Mr. Zikou.

Ericsson has more than 30 years’ experience serving the Enterprise sector, and now supports over 100,000 enterprise customers with communications services, and over 20 million lines, around the globe. Ericsson enables enterprises to mobilise their communications and business processes, through complete end-to-end converged solutions.

In the role of Director of the Ericsson Enterprise Customer Unit, Mr. Kelly will lead Ericsson’s strategy and offerings for enterprise customers as well as manage channel partner relationships, including Telstra Business Systems.

Until now, Mr. Kelly has been at Telstra as the National Sales Manager in Telstra Business Systems, a subsidiary of Telstra Corporation, since the acquisition of the Damovo business in 2004. Prior to the acquisition, he worked in a range of senior sales and general management positions at Damovo. Previously, John worked for Telstra for 15 years, primarily in a range of sales and account management positions.
