Ericsson Canada Celebrates 10 Years Of Sponsoring World Cup Freesytle Event
Mont-Tremblant, Québec - January 4, 2005
For the 10th consecutive year, Ericsson Canada is pleased to announce it is sponsoring, , the Ericsson Freestyle Grand Prix, formerly known as the Ericsson World Freestyle Event, to be held at Tremblant, January 7 - 9, 2005. The Ericsson Freestyle Grand Prix will feature over 150 of the world’s best freestyle athletes and is considered to be one of the three most important competitions on the Freestyle World Cup circuit.
To mark the 10th anniversary of this prestigious event, Jean-Luc Brassard, who won the first Olympic Gold medal by a Canadian male skier in Moguls at the 1994 Lillehammer Olympics, will be the official spokesperson for the 2005 Grand Prix. In addition, the event is sporting a new name and logo to celebrate the transition into a new decade of freestyle skiing at Tremblant.

Ericsson Canada’s association with freestyle skiing began in 1996. In 1998, Ericsson increased its participation and became the title sponsor of the event. Ericsson Canada is also Gold sponsor of the Fernie Freestyle Grand Prix, which will be held in Fernie, British Columbia January 21- 23, 2005.
