The Ericsson “Broadband on the road” Marketing campaign kick-starts with the Ericsson Bus rolling into town to visit Operators, Media companies and a Telecom fair, in order to bring all the ingredients of the Ericsson experience at their doorstep.

The “Ericsson Bus” is a demo Center in the customer’s premise, showcasing a slice of the technologies shown in International conferences such as Barcelona World Congress or Broadband World Forum and giving an insight into market opportunities and new revenue streams. The Roadshow is being done in the cities of Delhi & Mumbai and will also feature in India Telecom during December, in New Delhi. The campaign will start from 12th October and conclude at the India Telecom pavilion on 5th December.

Roadshow rolls in Turkey with 3G

3G will be launched on 30^th July in Turkey, so it’s the great timing!

Here comes the sun! On 17th July, Ericsson Turkey hosted 25 well known journalist with a 2 days event package in Çeşme, the most popular holiday spot in Turkey. Also C level managers of customers were invited for the weekend. It was quite a worm atmosphere as the customers and journalists were visiting the Roadshow wearing shorts and flip flops.

The new initiative called HiçKopma (never get disconnected) www.hickopma.com was the supporting theme of the Ericsson Roadshow. The web site had a series of caricatures, showing the usage of 3G services and how Turkish people perceive them. And the story of a technology addicted family is blogged on the site. So we decided to use the caricatures as a big stand and as place mats for the dinner. You could also put your head to the holes in the caricature stand and take your photo.

Life in 2020 was highly appreciated and the heading on several newspapers followed by: “Ericsson will send Scent online!”

Truck will continue its road with Ankara (capital of Turkey) and İstanbul!

Roadshow reaches the UK

Another week, another picture of the Ericsson Roadshow in front of something!

This time it’s the grandstand at the Ascot Racecourse.  The truck arrived on Sunday, from Bucharest, and pulled in through the main entrance of this historic venue for some of the world’s best horse racing.  The set-up crew were off and running - and within the day the truck was ready for two weeks of presenting, demonstrating and generally showing off the best of what Ericsson has to offer.

Since then we’ve hosted workshops, seminars and customer meetings.  We’ve met the press and also regulators and others from government departments.  Plus over a hundred local Ericsson employees who were keen to see our latest developments in action.

There’s still another week to go and, to make sure no-one misses out, we’ve added an open, drop-in session for any customer who couldn’t make it for their day in the formal schedule.  (It’s on the afternoon of Wednesday 8 July by the way, in case you’re interested in coming along).

Within the last month it’s been our privilege to host a stopover for the Volvo Ocean Race in Galway, Ireland (Ericsson won if you hadn’t heard!) and the Roadshow at Ascot.  Many, many thanks to all of the visitors who came to see us at these events.  It’s been great meeting you and we look forward to seeing you again soon.  :-)

Welcome to Ericsson’s beach-house!

During the recent LTE World Summit in Berlin 18-20 May, a number of visitors (both operators and analysts) from around the world has the opportunity to experience first hand the wonders of technology and innovation at the Ericsson Roadshow 2009.

Set on the beach on the very funky BundesPresseStrand area of Berlin, the Ericsson Roadshow 2009 showcased a variety of live demonstrations, from the power of mobile broadband (HSPA/LTE) to Converged multimedia solutions over IMS and the Connected Home.

The demonstrations only whetted their appetites to to learn more. So we thank all Berliners for a fantastic experience and as the famous Canadian music artist Leonard Cohen said, “First we take Manhattan, then we take Berlin” . . .

Ascot chosen as roadshow’s UK venue

Ascot Racecourse

We’ve chosen the impressive surroundings of the Ascot Racecouse (home of the historic Royal Ascot race meeting) as the venue for the UK leg of the Ericsson Roadshow.  Ascot lies just to the south west of London and has good road and rail links to the rest of the UK.

We’ll be meeting customers and other visitors between 30 June and 10 July this summer.  If you’re a customer then your usual account contact will have more information.
