Meet Melissa

Joining Ericsson, a big and well-organized company with a great reputation, was a good starting point for my career. From the beginning, I wanted to work in the financial area and Ericsson gave me the opportunity to work with a very professional team, the Regional Shared Services Center Beijing General Accounting Team. I learned a lot from my manager, both about the profession itself and about Ericsson’s ways of working.

I am now working in a new position as a project and service delivery manager, and am facing many new challenges. They can be frustrating at first, but the frustration only lasts a short time thanks to my managers, who are really supportive. I am constantly developing and learning, one step at a time. My team is performing well and I feel happy about being able to contribute more and more to our group.

Everyone wants a good career. But a good career is not something you just get – it is something you have to earn. Ericsson helps people develop and gives them the opportunity to earn a good career and a good life.

My best tips are to keep your mind open and try your best to be prepared for the opportunities that arise. And remember – "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you´re going to get."
