
Mats H Olsson
President, Ericsson Greater China
Mats H Olsson is President of Ericsson Greater China, responsible for the overall business operations of Ericsson in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
Mr Olsson was appointed President of Ericsson China in May, 2004, and his responsibilities were extended to the current position in January, 2005.
Mr Olsson's engagement in Ericsson's business in Greater China can be traced back to 1985, when he was part of the team for the establishment of the first Ericsson office in Beijing. Between 1992 and 1996 he was President of Ericsson Taiwan.
Mr Olsson has also been appointed as an international economic advisor by a number of Chinese provincial and municipal governments such as Shaanxi and Hunan provinces and Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province.
Mr Olsson joined Ericsson in 1982 and has had an extensive experience in Asia. He held the position as Head of Market Unit South East Asia between 2003 and May, 2004 and President and Country Manager of Ericsson Malaysia between 2001 and 2004. Between 1996 and 2001 he held the position as President, Ericsson Indonesia.
From 1989 to 1992 Mr. Olsson was Business Area Controller for Ericsson Cables, and between 1987 and 1989 he held the same position for Ericsson Networks Engineering.
Between 1982 and 1987 Mats H Olsson held various positions within Finance and Administration including Regional Group Controller for Ericsson International AB.
Prior to joining Ericsson in 1982, Mr. Olsson was Financial Controller of Wang Skandinaviska and between 1977 and 1980 he held the position as Senior Auditor at B. Olsson Revisionsbyra.
Mats H Olsson was born in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1954. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics.
