SVG is an open-standard vector graphics language that allows images to be described using XML. SVG is a good way of presenting vector graphic images on mobile phones, since content is easily adapted for monitoring on both large and small dispays.

Here are some possibilities that SVG offers:

  • Easily manipulated vector graphic shapes, without loose of accuracy
  • Raster graphics representing images as a collection of pixels
  • Incorporated text elements
  • Animation elements allowing motion paths, effects and transformation
  • Script programmable over Document Object Model (DOM) or Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language (SMIL)
