1. What is the VoIP support in SDS?

Q: What is the VoIP support in SDS?

A: SDS support VoIP peer to peer on the Symbian SEMC P1 phone using WLAN and 3G, and on PCs with Windows 2000, XP and Vista.

2. Does ICP provide video support?

Q: Does ICP provide video support?

A: The ICP Java API does not support video because this function on mobile phones is vendor- and model-dependent, so it is almost impossible to have proper Java wrapping for those APIs. However, if you use C++ to develop your application, you can use the ICP in combination with the built-in capabilities of the phone.

3. What should I do to obtain the optimum sound quality for VoIP calls?

Q: What should I do to obtain the optimum sound quality for VoIP calls?

A: The best result is obtained by using two similar platforms, that is, same OS and same hardware. For Windows configurations, ensure that you have the latest device drivers and the latest Direct X installed.
