1. My IP address changed. Why can't I start or stop the servers?

Q: My machine has a new IP address and I can no longer start or stop the server in SDS. What can I do?
Q: I recently installed SDS 4.1 on my laptop. I relocated my laptop to another network and now no servers inside SDS start as a dialogue (error) box pops up complaining about a connection exception regarding being unable to connect to the IP address that was in use when the installation was used.

A: The start/stop mechanism uses a network connection that is linked to the machine's IP address.

Solution: Change the Remote Agent IP address as follows:

  1. From the Eclipse menu, select Windows > Preferences.
  2. In the navigation tree on the left, expand Ericsson SDS > Server.
  3. Select the Remote Agent node.
  4. Modify the Address field to 127.0.0.1 - the localhost IP.
  5. Click OK.
2. My provisioning data is gone! Did I lose everything?

Q: I get an error opening the provisioning view and I don't see my data anymore! Did I lose everything?

A: No. SDS cannot connect to the Remote Agent, which is used to manage your data. Once the connection is restored, your data will be available again.

Solution:

Change the Remote Agent IP address as follows:

  1. From the Eclipse menu, select Windows > Preferences.
  2. In the navigation tree on the left, expand Ericsson SDS > Server.
  3. Select the Remote Agent node.
  4. Modify the Address field to 127.0.0.1 - the localhost IP.
  5. Click OK.
3. It is possible to export server configuration and provisioning data from one SDS installation to another?
