By Telecom web services we mean web services that offer telecom capabilities, typically for business-to-business (B2B) communication. For example, through these services a server-side application can access, via an operator’s web-services gateway, capabilities such as SMS, MMS, terminal status, WAP push, location and payment.
Parlay X is one set of open telecom web-services standards, defined by the Parlay Group of which Ericsson is a member.
With the Ericsson Telecom Web Services SDK, built on Parlay X web services, you can develop applications that exploit telecom web services without detailed knowledge of web services, Parlay X or any telecom specifics.
