About Telecom REST interfaces
About Telecom REST interfaces

By Telecom REST interfaces we mean REST interfaces that offer telecom capabilities, typically for customer-to-business (C2B) communication. Using REST interfaces, software such as mashup clients and web widgets can be implemented. Telecom REST interfaces enable service developers to offer the users of the service the possibility to easily add telecom capabilities.

For example, through the use of REST interfaces, a blog service can be designed so that bloggers can add telecom functionality directly to their blogs without the need for any programming knowledge. This telecom functionality can, for example, allow readers of the blog to send text messages to the blogger.

REST is a software architecture style and REST APIs , such as Flickr’s photo sharing service, are commonly used on the web. Ericsson’s own REST API is called REST Open API.

With the Ericsson Telecom Web Services SDK, you can develop applications and services with Ericsson’s REST Open API.
