Go for it!
Carla Belitardo

“If you have an open-hearted mind, the energy and desire for a challenge abroad with different cultures and thriving new technologies and market demands, you should go for it!

In return you will get a valuable CV, a strong multinational network, and a broad international view of the ICT world. In all, not only business, but a lifetime experience. (Yes, it will change your life for good!)”

Carla had just graduated from a one year full-time MBA at INSEAD in France when she joined Ericsson and the Excellerate program in April 2008. She is a civil engineer and her career has followed the steps of the ICT industry, starting as a trainee and then a project manager for system integration at IBM. Before joining Ericsson she was a consulting manager, leading various projects not only in major Brazilian telecom operators but also other industries. Today Carla works as a strategy, marketing and business development director at Ericsson in Market Unit Brazil.

“I wanted to expand my career abroad and have a multicultural business experience and I was looking for a truly global company to join after graduating from my MBA. During my job search I had contact with various programs such as the Excellerate in other companies and industries, but I knew that Ericsson would provide me the “full-package”; Global challenges in an industry that is shaping lives and shaping worlds.”

“The job rotations in the program give us a wide-variety of experience and, the learning modules bring us more methodologies to frame this on-the-job experience. It is interesting to see that not only my business perspectives changed after these 18 months in the program, but also my personal interest in technology has increased. I am now playing with all types of gadgets and following the ICT industry dynamics with enthusiasm!”

“I realized that Ericsson is really shaping peoples’ lives, everywhere. In fact, I have my life shaped and I am pleased to be part of the Excellerate multicultural team that will lead this shape in the future.”
