Although we tailor our compensation to meet the realities of the countries where we operate, our rewards have certain characteristics that apply nearly everywhere: they are based on the principles of fairness, performance, and shared long-term incentives.

Fairness

As an Ericsson employee, you will understand the basis for decisions affecting your compensation. Together we will set and monitor targets and goals, assess your competence development and review performance in a systematic, rigorous and open manner.

We will make sure that your compensation is not only fair but competitive.  How do we do this? By regularly and professionally measuring our total compensation against that of other companies with whom we compete for talent.

Performance

You can expect that your individual contributions and those of your team will be recognized and reflected in your pay. It is common practice at Ericsson for part of an employee’s compensation to be variable, based heavily on the results of the team and Ericsson’s overall performance.

Long-term incentive program

Across the globe, nearly all Ericsson employees are eligible to join the Stock Purchase Plan. Employees who buy shares in Ericsson under this plan and keep them for three years are given a matching amount of shares.

Through this plan, Ericsson invites employees to become owners. In thinking, acting and being rewarded as owners, all employees are active in building the business and take advantage of every opportunity to make the company more profitable.
