US company, LM Ericsson Telephone Manufacturing Co. established in Buffalo. Over 82,000 telephones produced. Telephone service started up in Mexico City.

LM Ericsson enters collaboration agreement with Deckert & Homolka to manufacture in Budapest. Carl Johan Andersson retires.
1909
First Siemens automatic exchanges, built under license from Autelco, in service in Germany. Axel Bostrom and HT Cedergern dies. Hemming Johansson is appointed Managing Director.

Gottlieb Piltz succeeds Cedergren as Managing Director of SAT.

Societe des Telephones Ericsson S.A., STE, is set up to manufacture in France. The Beeston UK factory becomes wholly-owned. British Post Office established as UK PTT.

LM Ericsson becomes owner of manufacturing facilities in Budapest and Vienna.

Ivar Kreuger sets up Swedish Match Company first crossbar switch patented in the US.
1914
Start of World War I. Ericsson receives contract to manufacture electricity meters.

Railway switchpoint and signaling department established.

Despite increased turnover during the year, the profit fell due to the high prices of raw materials and to the increase in wages. Admiral Arvid Lindman became Chairman of the Board.
1917
The Russian revolution. USA acquires Virgin Islands for USD 30 million: Sosthenes Behn becomes a US citizen.
1918
Merger of LM Ericsson and Stockholm's Allmanna Telefon AB, SAT, to form Allmanna Telefon AB LM Ericsson. SAR concession in Russia, Svensk-Dansk-Ryska Telefon, and LME Russia both nationalized. World War I ends. A/B LM Ericsson i Finland formed.
1919
LM Ericsson's Polish operating concession returned to merged companies. LM Ericsson part-owner of Svenska Radio Aktiebolaget, SRA.
1920
In the US, the LM Ericsson Telephone Manufacturing Co. is closed. LM Ericsson enters as partner in Argentina's Compania Entrerriana de Telefonos S.A.
