Jonas Reinius is presently Product Manager of ATM Platform and Transport Networks at Ericsson Radio Systems, Stockholm, Sweden. During his 30 years with Ericsson, he has held various positions within hardware and system design, primarily of PBX and broadband systems. Since 1990, his chief area of focus at Ericsson has been on ATM. In 1995 he helped define the Cello project.

Jan Eldståhl joined Ericsson in 1993, with more than 13 years’ experience of telecommunications and six years’ experience of mobile telecommunications. His initial duties at Ericsson included the design and development of the PDC system, CMS 30. In 1996, he began working with WCDMA and third-generation UMTS systems. Today, he serves as Product Manager of Ericsson’s WCDMA evaluation system.

Anders Näsman is currently the System Design Project Manager of the commercial WCDMA UMTS terrestrial radio access network. Since joining Ericsson in 1989, he has worked as a designer/developer of GSM radio base stations (he helped design the first GSM base station—the RBS200), and as a researcher of the use of ATM in cellular networks. In 1996, he became the System Design Project Manager of WCDMA evaluation systems. He holds an MSc in electronics and computer engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm.

Peter Curtin is Vice President of Product Management, Ericsson Inc., Datacom Networks and IP Services, Access Product Unit. He has been with ACC, now Ericsson, for four and a half years. Before this, he was with Gandalf, Newbridge and SHL Systemhouse. At Newbridge, he was the Director of Product Management, and at SHL Systemhouse he was the Director of Project Management. Mr. Curtin has a BS in applied math from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, as well as an MBA from the University of Ottawa.

Bert Whyte was previously General Manager of Ericsson Datacom Networks and IP Services, Access Product Unit. He joined ACC, now Ericsson, in October 1994. He has more than twenty years of experience in the communications industry and has held a variety of upper-management positions in marketing and business management, including his position as President and CEO of ACC. After beginning as a telecommunications engineer with British Telecom, Mr. Whyte moved to Ericsson where he was involved with new computer-based PBXs and ACDs for worldwide markets including the UK, Australia, and the parent company in Sweden. After a progression of upper-management jobs at Shell, Mitel, and Siemens, Mr. Whyte joined Newbridge Networks in 1986 when the company started operations. Mr. Whyte received a full technical certificate in telecommunications and computers from Canterbury Technical College.

Håkan Granbohm works at the Product Management and Strategic Marketing unit for GPRS in TDMA and IS-95. He started working for Ericsson in 1985, and has since held various positions in the company. He has an MSc in natural science from Stockholm University.

Joakim Wiklund heads the Product Management and Strategic Marketing unit for GPRS in TDMA and IS-95. He joined Ericsson in 1989 and has worked in different roles with ATM system software and design. He began working with GPRS in 1996, and became the head of the GPRS system design unit in 1997. He holds an MSc in physical engineering from the Lund Institute of Technology.

André Bertrand works as Product Manager of the Jambala Mobility Gateway at Ericsson Research Canada, Montreal, Canada, which position he has held since September 1998. Prior to this, he served as Local Product Manager of CMS 8800 products in Panama (Ericsson de Panama), as Senior Tester/Troubleshooter for GSM systems at Ericsson Eurolab Deutschland, and as a Function Tester (Montreal) and Technical Assistance Consultant (Los Angeles, California). He holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from McGill University, Montreal, Canada.

Bo Carlgren is Executive Vice President of Professional Services within the Network Operators & Service Providers Business Segment. He joined Ericsson in 1983, working with systems and network engineering. Between 1987 and 1991, he worked at Ericsson in the USA as the head of Network Engineering for Mobile Systems. In 1991, he left Ericsson to work as Director of Operations at Comviq GSM. In 1994, he rejoined Ericsson as the head of Customer Services for Mobile Systems, Japanese Standard. In 1997, he was appointed Director of the Telecom Management Solutions Business Unit. He holds an MSc in electrical engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, Göteborg.
