From 1995 to 1998 he served as general manager for the Ericsson branch office in Nagoya, Japan. In 1998 he was appointed general manager of marketing for WCDMA systems at Ericsson in Japan. Since returning to Sweden, in 1999, he has worked with project management for WCDMA development, and managed the evaluation project for the experimental WCDMA system, and the subsequent evaluation project for the pre-commercial WCDMA system. He is currently senior project manager for the market introduction of WCDMA Release 3. Anders holds an M.S. in engineering physics from the Lund Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.

Peter Blom is currently a product manager for GSM radio access networks. Since joining Ericsson, in 1990, he has held various positions in mobile systems, including three years as strategic product manager for high-capacity radio network solutions for the GSM radio access network. He holds an M.S. in electrical engineering from the Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden.

Eddie Corbett is a master systems engineer at Ericsson Systems Expertise in Ireland. He joined Ericsson in 1994 and has worked as a system design engineer developing radio network algorithms for Ericsson’s products for TDMA, CDMA2000 and WCDMA. In 1998, he joined WCDMA Radio Access Network Design to work on the development of power control algorithms. During the field trial project he worked with the verification of radio network algorithms. He currently works with WCDMA radio resource management. Eddie holds a B.E. in electrical engineering from University College Cork, Ireland.

Bengt Gestner is presently product manager for the WCDMA RNC node at Core Unit Radio Network Development (CRND). From 1979, when he joined Ericsson, through 1995, Bengt held various positions working in AMPS, and later, TDMA design organizations for radio network products. Between 1995 and 2000, he served as product manager for different TDMA RBS products and for transmission solutions in the access network.

Roland Heickerö joined Ericsson in 2000, serving as senior product manager at Ericsson Radio System, WCDMA and GSM total product management. He is responsible for the roadmap and end-to-end solution portions of the Ericsson Shared Network project. Roland has extensive experience of working with technical and economic aspects of research and development strategies. He holds an M.S. in mechanical engineering and a Ph.D. in industrial economy and organization/works science from the Royal Institute of Technology. He is also associate professor in innovation technology at the University of Mälardalen, Sweden.

Stefan Jelvin currently works with strategic product management at the Ericsson Mobile Systems WCDMA and GSM business unit. In particular, from a systems and market perspective, he works with the evolution of second-generation systems to third-generation systems, defining the opportunities and benefits of evolving GSM and integrating it with WCDMA. Stefan joined Ericsson in 1996, and has held marketing and market strategy positions for TDMA and GSM. He holds an M.S. in mechanical engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm.

Bodil Josefsson, who joined Ericsson in 1991, is program manager for Ericsson Seamless Network at the Mobile Systems WCDMA and GSM business unit. From 1991 to 1993, Bodil worked as product manager for transport networks. In 1993, she moved to Ericsson Radio Systems, where the main focus of her work has been on marketing and business management. She holds an M.S. from the Linköping Institute of Technology, Sweden.

Lars-Örjan Kling is an expert in forwarding technology at the CCND Connectivity Development Center, Ericsson AB, Sweden. He joined Ericsson in 1980 to work as a computer architecture designer. In the years since, he has been active in the areas of multi-processing, mathematical specification methods and neural computation. He entered the datacom area in 1997. He is currently involved in the introduction of IP to the Cello packet platform. Lars-Örjan holds an M.S. in electrical engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden.

Åke Lindholm joined Ericsson in 1974, and has been working with data communication since 1977. During his time at Ericsson he has worked with the design of local area networks, fiber-optic networks, interprocessor communication, ATM, and IP routers. Today, he is an expert on IP transmission protocols at the CCND Connectivity Development Center, Ericsson AB, Sweden. Åke holds an M.S. in electrical engineering from the Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden.

Lars Marklund joined Ericsson in 1981 as a software developer for AXB-30. He has also helped develop software and design systems for the AXE-10 group switch and ISDN. In particular, he helped develop the SMS subsystem in AXE-10 for GSM. In 1999, Lars became system manager for the Cello packet platform with responsibility for IP-related development.

Gunnar B. Nilsson joined Ericsson in 1982. During his 20 years with the company he has served in various positions, including product manager, technical manager and project manager. Most recently, he has worked on Cello packet platform (CPP) development projects. At present, for example, he is in charge of the project to implement IP in CPP. He holds an M.S. in electrical engineering from Chalmers Institute of Technology, Göteborg, Sweden.
