Daniel Enström, who joined Ericsson in 2000, is a Senior Research Engineer at Ericsson Research Multimedia Technologies in Luleå, Sweden. He currently manages a project tasked to secure media layer functionalities for IMS Multimedia Technology, including 3GPP standardization. He is also responsible for research within the media layer technologies needed to secure real-time performance for IMS Multimedia Telephony. Daniel previously worked with the development and standardization of audio codecs including AMR-WB+. He holds an M.S. in engineering physics and a Lic. Eng. degree in theoretical physics, both from the Luleå University of Technology.

Åke Gustafsson is an Expert in messaging and multimedia. He joined Ericsson in 1986 as a software developer. Since 1990 he has worked as systems manager with different IP-based messaging systems - for example, System-T for paging, MXE for voice mail and SMS, MoIP for unified messaging, IMPS and IMS messaging for instant messaging, and MMS. Åke is currently the chief architect of Ericsson's Enriched Messaging architecture.

Piotr Kessler joined Ericsson in 1995 to help design the platform for control software in the AMPS/D-AMPS radio base station. In the years that followed, he continued working with software platform and architecture issues but shifted his focus from embedded RBS platforms to terminals. He also transferred to Ericsson Research where he was put in charge of terminal architecture. More recently he moved to the R&D organization to oversee work on terminal software in the service layer. Currently an Expert of client software in the service layer, he serves as Chief Architect in this area. Piotr holds an M.S. in electronics and telecommunication from the Institute of Technology in Warsaw (Poland).

Anders Lenman joined Ericsson in 1997, initially to participate in a one-year trainee program. He later worked as system manager for GSM radio base stations before moving to service layer business development in the beginning of 2000. He has also worked as strategic project manager and solution architect for several service layer products in the streaming and messaging areas. At present, Anders serves as strategic product manager for the enriched messaging business solution.

Bernd Moeller joined Ericsson in 1996 to work as program manager for home base stations and to develop mobile phones for high-volume production. Since 2001 he has served as a member of the EMP management team. Among other things, he has been responsible for the development of the first generation of mobile platforms and served as a key contributor to architecture and system design. Between 2003 and 2005, Bernd served as managing director at Teleca Systems GmbH, establishing Teleca in Germany. In 2005, he returned to Ericsson Mobile Platforms as the founder and site manager of the Prototype Unit. He currently manages LTE Development within EMP and works on prototypes for new access technologies, such as LTE, HSPA, and end-to-end solutions.

Anders Nohlgren joined Ericsson Research in 1998 where his main interest has been real-time transport of voice, audio, and video over mobile networks. He has also actively participated in the 3GPP as editor of the Packet-switched Streaming Service (PSS) specification. In 2005 he helped initiate the 3GPP work on Multimedia Telephohony Service over IMS. Anders is currently strategic product manager of IMS Multimedia Telephony (IMT) at Ericsson. He holds an M.S. in electrical engineering from Chalmers University of Technology (Göteborg, Sweden).

Håkan Olofsson has 13 years' experience of the mobile telecommunications industry, involving operators, network suppliers and other players. He currently manages a group of system managers involved in preliminary development of radio access products at Ericsson. During the past two years he has coordinated Ericsson's overall standardization efforts for IMS Multimedia Telephony. Håkan has a background in radio systems and standardization, and has authored several papers and patent applications, in particular, in the area of radio resource management and quality of service. He holds an M.S. in physics engineering from Uppsala University (Sweden).

Janne Peisa joined Ericsson Research in 1998 to work with WCDMA. His main emphasis has been on evaluating and enhancing WCDMA performance for packet data. At present, he works at Ericsson Reseach in Finland as a standardization delegate for the 3GPP RAN2 working group. Janne holds an M.S. and Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the University of Helsinki, Finland. He has also published several papers, more than 50 patent applications, and served as editor of a book entitled IMS Multimedia Telephony over Cellular Systems.

Per Synnergren who joined Ericsson in 2001, is currently a senior specialist of radio access functionality for IP multimedia at Ericsson Research in Luleå, Sweden. His focus is on end-to-end and overall performance of IP multimedia services using the radio access technologies under development in 3GPP. He has also been involved in the standardization of Multimedia Telephony Service over IMS, Push-to-talk over Cellular, and WCDMA HSPA evolution in 3GPP Release 7. Per holds an M.S. in mechanical engineering and a Ph.D. in experimental mechanics from the Luleå University of Technology.

Claes von Scheele joined Ericsson in 1989 to work with mobile phone development in Lund. During the early 1990s he served as a senior specialist in microelectronic packaging techniques and was also responsible for the preliminary development of mobile phone designs. After various R&D management assignments in Sweden and in the USA he joined EMP in 2001 to head up sales in the Americas. In 2006, he returned to Sweden, where he currently works with strategic product management at EMP in Lund. Claes holds an M.S. in mechanical engineering from the Chalmers University of Technology (Göteborg, Sweden).
