For hundreds of years, shepherds in the Spanish region of Extremadura have kept track of free-roaming pigs to monitor grazing habits.  But with fewer hands on farms, an alternative was necessary.   Now, GPS and the GPRS network join forces to bring traditional farming into the 21st century.
