A material declaration is a detailed description of a product's material and constituent content. Ericsson considers standardization in this area to be important to ensure that materials data is communicated throughout the entire value chain in a common format, so that information about the substances of interest for the final products is obtained in an efficient way. We include these details to ensure we are meeting regulation and being responsible and transparent towards our customers and stakeholders on the environmental impact of our products. This information is used in our work in design for Environment, Ecology Management and the end-of-life treatment of products.
