Program scope

We believe that there should be a faster and more effective response to disasters. Ericsson Response™ is a global initiative aimed at responding to human suffering caused by disasters.

 

The initiative formalizes Ericsson's commitment to the issue based on its previous involvement and experience in various disaster response efforts throughout the world.

 

The core parts in the Ericsson Response program are:

  • Ericsson Response volunteers and equipment
  • Research and Technical Development
  • Partnership with relief organizations and the private sector
  • Awareness
Highlights
Ericsson Response received the Project Management Institute Community Advancement through Project Management Award on October 6 at the Georgia World Congress Center in the USA.

With half a century of business experience in Lebanon, Ericsson’s Beirut office is uniquely positioned to help volunteers from Télécoms Sans Frontières.

The first two Ericsson Response volunteers supporting United Nations OCHA with ICT in Pakistan following the October earthquake,  are now replaced by two new volunteers.

The Ericsson Response volunteer is deployed with United Nations World Food Programme in Sri Lanka.
