The United Nations organization World Food Programme thanks Ericsson for the communications assistance!

Ericsson has now a team in Kabul to dismantle the temporary GSM network in Kabul, Afghanistan that has supported the humanitarian relief organizations and the start up government. From now on, the commercial mobile network provided by the local operator AWCC will be used. In gratitude to Ericsson, World Food Programme published the following press release August 15, 2002.
