Ericsson's commitment to providing safe workplaces for employees is stated on the Group level. Our Code of Conduct is the Group policy concerning fair and safe working conditions, and it is the operational responsibility of the managing director at each country entity to turn this policy into practice.
Our approach addresses the twin purposes of tailoring strategies to local laws as well as addressing the varying nature of our business operations - from factories and office environments to network rollout (NRO). Production and laboratory environments require health and safety procedures unique to their working environments. In 2007, a health and safety review was made of all our manufacturing sites, based on the Swedish legislation SAM, AFS 2001:1 and OHSAS 18001.
All Ericsson premises have invested in ergonomic office assessments, and several units also have gym facilities, physical training courses and health monitoring services.
