Ericsson has won the Clean Design category in the prestigious Elektra Awards for 2007, run by leading UK magazine Electronics Weekly. At an event in London on December 12, Ericsson Power Modules marketing director Patrick Le Fèvre accepted the award from Mark Jones, Chief Operating Officer at Omron.

Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) successfully demonstrated the world's first automated GMPLS (Generalized Multi-Protocol Label Switching) control of a Carrier Ethernet Transport network at Carrier Ethernet World Congress (CEWC) 2007 in Geneva today. The GMPLS control scheme, already used by Ericsson for SDH products, has now been adapted to control Ethernet networks.
