Ericsson in interoperability event, Paris

Ericsson successfully participates in the public MPLS & Ethernet interoperability event showcased at MPLS & Ethernet World Congress in Paris.

February 11, 2009

Thanks to the innovative features of its products, Ericsson once again successfully participates in a public interoperability demonstration focusing on MPLS & Ethernet technologies, organized by EANTC (European Advanced Networking Test Center) and showcased at the MPLS & Ethernet World Congress from 10-13 February. The showcase provides network operators with an in-depth view into the latest advances in MPLS and Ethernet based solutions.

Thanks to its carrier-class functionalities, a version of the new Ericsson SPT 2700 demonstrates pre-standard MPLS-TP interoperating with other vendors' equipment while the Redback Smart Edge 400 performs in the Core IP/MPLS network area. One product in Ericsson’s Marconi OMS portfolio also successfully passed the interoperability test of Ethernet based packet transport.

Ericsson’s successful participation in the EANTC tests proves Ericsson’s capability when it comes to supporting the newest standards and technologies which are continuously evolving.
