Ericsson mobilizes the music at Midem in Cannes 

Ericsson cordially invites members of the media to meet with Executives and mobile media specialists for one-to-one briefings at Midem, in Cannes, from January 22-26. Ericsson's theme for Midem will be "Mobilize your Music". Ericsson will address the potential of the music industry, including the latest consumer research, mobile music services and content and applications partnerships.

This is the fourth year Ericsson has attended Midem, also called "the world's music market". Ericsson now delivers mobile music on all continents and thus knows what services consumers really want. Ericsson is the bridge between the music industry and mobile operators in helping them develop attractive mobile music and video services.

Ericsson will elaborate on how to further drive this new market based on our consumer knowledge, content and application partnerships, and our ability to integrate and deliver new content services and revenue models. For users the promise is freedom of choice and for operators and music industry the benefits are cost-efficiency, simplicity and quick time to market.

At Ericsson's stand at Midem (Hall Riviera, Stand no. R36.15) we will demonstrate  Ericsson's ability to create global mobile reach for mobile music-related content:

  • Latest Consumer research on how consumers want to use mobile phones and music services
  • Personalized Music Portal - our white-label music service; live with more operators than any other personalized music service
  • Mobile TV - experience live mobile TV and see for yourself why this service is in such high demand around the world.
  • Personalized greeting service - our ringback tone service replaces the ordinary tone the caller hears with the latest tracks from today's most popular artists.
  • Streaming music videos
  • Content billing and message delivery services -Internet Payment eXchange (IPX).  Our global payment and message delivery service connects content providers, media companies and consumer brands to operators, thus facilitating the charging and distribution of mobile content.
