Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) will demonstrate a range of solutions at BIRTV 2010, August 23-26, 2010 that enable consumers to access next-generation television experiences such as HD, 3D TV and video on demand. From on board its own truck that will be located inside the exhibition hall, Ericsson will show broadcasters and operators how it is enabling the reality of creating, managing and delivering these enhanced consumer TV services with the latest technology solutions and system integration services.

Visitors to Ericsson's truck at BIRTV can view a number of demonstrations that show how the company’s solutions enable each part of the chain, from acquisition through delivery and consumer experience. The truck will feature several demonstration areas that will show new products for the first time in China and focus on:
Enhancing the consumer experience: Ericsson will showcase a number of innovations that enhance the user experience – from HDTV, to emerging service offerings such as over the top (OTT). Visitors can see a live demonstration of Ericsson Over-The-Top solution and the impact it has on the consumer experience the Hybrid Television Services CASPA&trade On-Demand service on TiVo&trade.
The CASPA On-Demand TiVo service, which is driven by a complete suite of Ericsson software solutions including WatchPoint® Content Management System (CMS), OpenStream® Digital Services Platform, Xport® Producer storage encoding platform and AdPoint® Advanced Advertising Platform, will demonstrate the ability to give users true on-demand entertainment alongside the free-to-air digital terrestrial TV services available via the TiVo media device.
