What is Mobile Internet Application Services?
What is Mobile Internet Application Services?

Let's say your internet or enterprise application lies within an intranet or internet network, rather than in a mobile operator's network. For example, an enterprise might offer content for internet or end-user services that require mobile services, and you want end users to be able to access your application services regardless of which mobile operator they use. In the telecom world this is known as the Value Added Service Provider (VASP) model.

Ericsson creates the opportunity for you to easily enable your internet/intranet application with basic mobile services and reach several mobile operator networks. We provide your server-side application with simple mobile services such as MMS (MM7), sending and receiving SMS and payment services over web, WAP or premium SMS. All these services are provided by Ericsson's IPX (Internet Payment eXchange) network.

IPX is a fast, hassle-free and inexpensive way to subscribe to mobile services for your internet or enterprise application.

Use MM7 services for your application

Now you can subscribe to MM7 services for your server-side internet/enterprise application. Our Implementation Guide has example code in Java using Java Web Services Developer Pack (JWSDP) with the SOAP with Attachments API for Java (SAAJ) API for direct interaction over the MM7 protocol.
