Duncan Bees, Chief Technical and Business Officer Chairman of the Home Gateway Initiative, talks about the challenges the gateway faces now, and the possibilities for the future, with the gateway working to migrate and facilitate convergent services.
The Home Gateway Initiative is non-profit organization launched in 2004 by a number of operators, including Deutsche Telekom, Telia Sonera and Telefonica. Its goal is to provide a place where operators, content providers, service providers and manufacturers can discuss the key specifications and standards of home gateways.
