Consulting and Systems Integration’s role in telecoms’ transformation
In the latest Services Talk film Paolo Colella, head of Ericsson’s Consulting and Systems Integration business, shares his views on the business transformation taking place within the telecoms industry.
Colella says there are two major drivers behind the change: the search for efficiencies and the search for competitiveness and business growth.
He outlines factors behind the search for efficiencies such as voice services reaching maturity and the “explosion” of data putting pressure on operators’ bottom line.
On competiveness and business growth, Colella says there is a need for telecoms companies to be innovative and get away from flat rates to counter the advances made by web companies.
He says Ericsson’s huge network of consultants and wide area of expertise, boosted by acquisitions, means the company is perfectly placed to help operators to transform their business.
