Guangzhou, provincial capital of Guangdong, is one of the most important gateways to China. It covers an area of 7,434.4 square kilometer with a population of over 6 million.
Guangzhou is one of the oldest cities in china-its history can be traced back as far as 2200 years ago, when a rogue general founded the independent Nanyue Kingdom in suburb Panyu. Being the starting point of “maritime silkroad, Guangzhou had direct contact with the Western world for over 2000 years.

Guangzhou is also known for the Cantonese style of cooking which no tourist can afford to miss. Eating in Guangzhou is always a great experience to all visitors. One of the finest examples of 18th century architecture in Guangdong. Preservation and restoration work has extended to the smallest detail.

Guangxiao Temple
光孝寺
The site of Nanyue Kingdom Palace, now over 2,000 years old was converted to a Buddhist temple. It is now one of the Guangdong’s most ancient structures.
“先有光孝， 后有羊城”，光孝寺拥有2000多年历史，原为南越国王宫的一部分，后改为佛教寺院，是广东最古老的建筑之一。
Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall
中山纪念堂
Local in the original site of the Sun’s Presidential Office, this memorial hall is a historical relic under state-protection. It’s also the most symbolized building of Guangzhou.
为纪念伟大的革命先行者孙中山先生而建的纪念性建筑物，坐落在孙中山当年的总统府旧址上，建筑精良，气势磅礴，是广州的地标。
