The delivery of Ericsson's one-millionth MINI-LINK represents a significant milestone. To commemorate this landmark achievement, Ericsson presented the Ukraine's largest mobile operator, Kyivstar, with a golden MINI-LINK.

MINI-LINK is Ericsson's industry-leading microwave transmission solution, with a market share of more than 40 percent.
Its popularity shows no signs of diminishing. Production capacity has been expanded to meet growing demand and now stands 125 times greater than in 1990. In 2006, MINI-LINK production is expected to reach a new record of a quarter of a million radio units per annum.
MINI-LINK combines speed, high capacity, cost-efficiency and reliability, and with its 30-year track record, MINI-LINK ranks as one of the most popular methods to link a radio base station to switching networks.
These factors were also key in the national rollout of Kyivstar's network. Igor Litovchenko, president of Kyivstar, says: "We are pleased that Ericsson's millionth
MINI-LINK was installed in our network. In many ways it is symbolic, as we are strategic partners - Ericsson, a world market leader, is a supplier of our entire GSM network, which is currently offering mobile services to more than 18 million Ukrainians.
All MINI-LINK radios are produced in-house at Ericsson's factory in Borås, Sweden, the world's largest microwave production facility. Several models are now manufactured, each designed to help operators meet their individual challenges in rolling out new fixed and mobile broadband services, in both mature and developing markets.
