Mr. Erik Ekudden is Vice President, Head of Standardization and Industry Initiatives, for the Ericsson group. During more than 15 years of extensive engagement in the area of research, innovation and standardization, he has developed and led Ericsson's global network within standardization and industry relations resources.

Through industry cooperation in global bodies such as 3GPP and IETF, Mr. Ekudden has established strategies in order to drive innovation and secure Ericsson's technology leadership. Throughout his career, Erik has been a driver in leading edge technologies and strongly believes that mobile broadband technology benefits individuals and society as a whole.

Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Ekudden was Director of Research in multimedia services in Ericsson. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
