LTE will become the industry's mainstream technology as it offers a distinct economy of scale for operators worldwide who are looking to extend their networks’ capacity and speed. LTE will offer flexibility and simplicity, is designed for broader bandwidth, and can be deployed on whatever spectrum an operator has available. Some may decide to make the investment in LTE sooner rather than later to cost-efficiently handle their ever increasing mobile data traffic and grow their competitive position in the broadband marketplace.
