Ericsson Power Modules has announced the PKM-C family of DC/DC modules designed to respond to the new high-current demand in distributed power architectures.  Complying with the de-facto, quarter brick standard, the first module in the family, PKM4118GC PINB utilizes a new, enhanced footprint called ‘Double-P’ to improve thermal behavior.

Ericsson Power Modules is upgrading its PKD series of lead-free DC/DC converters for lead-free assembly processes. The first of the new converters, the PKD 4510 ASI, is available now, and has an input voltage range of 36-75V and delivers up to 15A at 3.3V. It offers a power increase of 88% over its predecessor in the same package and at a competitive price.

Following the recent acquisition of Ericsson Microelectronics by Infineon Technologies AG, Germany, the company’s DC/DC power modules activities has been established as a separate company, Ericsson Power Modules.

Ericsson Power Modules has announced a series of high performance DC/DC converters available in the industry standard half-brick format, offering very competitive prices. Designated the PKJ4000E series, the modules offer price savings over similarly specified half brick products of around 25%.

Ericsson Power Modules has expanded its PKD range of DC/DC converters to include dual output voltage models, meeting the needs of lead free manufacturing processes and applications where an increased number of voltages are used on the same board.  The first two products in the PKD dual series are PKD4528SI and PKD4520HSI.
