Ericsson Power Modules has signed the PMBus adopter agreement, becoming a full member of the Power Management Bus Implementers Forum.

Ericsson Power Modules’ PKB4913PINB DC/DC converter module has the same footprint as its predecessor yet offers 25% more power, thus increasing the important power to space ratio. The module addresses all new applications using a 48V input that require a stable 12V, optimising the efficiency of intermediate bus conversation application.

As it celebrates the tenth anniversary of its operation in China (Ericsson Simtek Electronics), Ericsson Power Modules has launched its APAC (Asia Pacific and China) center of excellence. The center includes R&D, manufacturing, customer sales and service, and also project resources.

Ericsson today introduced the best-in-class power module in a quarter brick format. Ericsson Power Modules’ PKM4000BPI series DC/DC modules are world-leading for efficiency and power density, and deliver up to 33A at 12V in a quarter brick design, improving overall system efficiency, reducing power consumption and decreasing total cost of ownership when compared to ‘standard’ regulated DC converters.
