Ericsson Power Modules expands Mouser Electronics distribution agreement into EMEA Regions
World-class supplier of DC/DC power modules for distributed power architectures Ericsson Power Modules has extended its distribution agreement with Mouser Electronics to include the EMEA regions. Mouser is an electronic component distributor, focused on the rapid introduction of new products and technologies to electronic design engineers.

Ericsson Power Modules has achieved a very creditable finalist position in the prestigious, industry leading Elektra awards 2009. In the strongly contested ‘Power Systems Product of the Year’ section, Ericsson’s 3E power modules concept proved to be a strong contender for the award, achieving a finalist position.

Ericsson’s ultra optimized DC/DC module provides more power and higher efficiency than predecessor
Based on a cost optimized platform that has contributed to make Ericsson Power Modules’ PKM-E series one of the most successful throughout the world, and now using a combination of further optimized topology and advanced components, the 24V input PKM2810EPI delivers 65% more power than its predecessor, while improving efficiency up to 92.5% at half-load and 89.5% at full-load.

Ericsson’s 1/8 brick DC/DC converter optimized for power amps and cold-wall cooling environments
Designed to operate in sealed enclosures where cooling is not based on conventional forced-air cooling and fans, but via passive cold-wall technology in applications such as power-amplifiers and transceivers, Ericsson Power Modules’ PKB4513PINBLC is a 50W eighth-brick DC/DC converter that powers 12V intermediate bus architectures.

Based on the popular POLA platform, two point-of-load (POL) devices from Ericsson Power Modules provide easy paralleling making it possible for power servers and memory storage designers to access extremely flexible solutions for the next generation of low voltage supplies with very high DC currents approaching 100A.
