Both product packages automatically
perform an array of verification, maintenance,
and troubleshooting tasks
in areas where no other type of probe
device can reach. TEMS Pocket is an
easily configured diagnostic tool built
into a normal, fully functional phone.
The enhancements in TEMS Pocket
6.0 make the tool more flexible than
ever before, providing convenient,
continuous monitoring for HSDPA,
WCDMA (850/1900/2100), and Quad
EDGE/GPRS/GSM networks. In addition,
the device now offers built-in GPS
capabilities, a productive means of
supplementing external GPS systems.
TEMS Pocket 6.0 works with TEMS
Investigation and TEMS Automatic in
post-processing logfiles, and enables full integration of data with TEMS Automatic.
The result is a complete network
monitoring solution that extends the
value of the operator’s existing investment
in tools and knowledge.
The choice of two new product packages
allows operators to expand their
data-gathering options in a number
of ways. TEMS Pocket Professional,
which contains all the tool’s established
features, has been updated
with an HSDPA data view, enhanced
script-based command handling, an
FTP application view, and logfile replay.
This more-complex package has
been designed for RF engineers and is
especially well-suited to the targeted
investigation of new network areas and
hot spots.
TEMS Pocket Remote, fully integrated
with TEMS Automatic, can run scriptbased
testing with no user interaction.
Because it is so simple to handle, it
can be used by nontechnical individuals
to capture data merely by moving
through the network’s territory as they
go about their everyday activities. Their
phone usage is unaffected by testing
processes.
Both TEMS Pocket 6.0 packages maximize
the effectiveness of the operator’s
information-gathering efforts, reducing
RF engineers’ travel requirements and
supporting a wide range of site-deployment
initiatives.
