Fiber Distribution Hubs FDH

Image

Our Fiber Distribution Hub (FDH) is the fiber connection point that manages cables and ducts in the feeder network. It features foldable fiber trays for easy handling and maintenance.

There are several possibilities for fiber optic splitters and/or cross connection handling depending on the chosen technology in the network design.

See also Drop and Premises Networks/Fiber Access Terminals for more products handling fiber distribution.

Fiber Distribution Hubs, FDH (for splitters)

FDH288, outdoor, 2/NBD116200
An outdoor Fiber Distribution Hub for up to 288 subscribers . It is intended as a PON cabinet with space to host splitter modules for incremental growth. It can however be used in a P2P system with slightly higher than half capacity (both sides spliced), or as a combination (as when mixing FTTH and business users).

This FDH is specified as a street cabinet but can also be mounted indoors (even wall mounted) for use in a basement of a Multi Dwelling Unit.

  • Handles PON or P2P, or a combination of both
  • Handles both air blown fiber / duct systems and traditional cables
  • Excludes the need for jointing in manholes
  • Up to 20 positions for incremental splitter growth (typically 18 x 1:16 + parking)

FDH 64, indoor, 1/NBD116200
An indoor Fiber Distribution Hub for up to 64 subscribers.
It is intended as a PON cabinet with space to host splitter modules for incremental growth. It can however be used in a P2P system with about half the capacity (both sides spliced), or as a combination (for example when mixing FTTH with business users).
This FDH is designed as a wall termination cabinet with a typical mounting case in a basement of a Multi Dwelling Unit or in raisers.
  • Handles PON or P2P, or a combination of both
  • Handles both air blown fiber / duct systems and traditional cables
  • Mid-span "cable through" design
  • Up to 8 positions for incremental splitter growth (typically 8 x 1:8 or parking)

FDH 96, underground, 3/NBD116200
Fiber Distribution Hub for up to 96 subscribers. It is intended as a PON cabinet with space to host splitter modules for incremental growth. It can however be used in a P2P system with slightly higher than half capacity (both sides spliced), or as a combination.

This FDH is specified for underground installation in manholes but can also be mounted above ground on poles or inside pedestals.

  • Hides the access point under-ground with smallest possible visual impact.
  • Handles PON or P2P, or a combination of both
  • Handles both air-blown fibers, micro cables and traditional cables
  • Up to 7 positions for incremental splitter growth

Splitter Modules, RDJ 901200
The Planar Lightwave Circuit (PLC) splitter modules are designed to fit the Ericsson FDH cabinets 1/NBD116200 and 2/NBD116200. The module provides uniform division of an optical signal from one or two input fiber ports to multiple output ports.
The splitters are designed to meet the requirements for a wide range of fiber optic communications systems like in PON FTTx networks.
  • 1x4 to1x64 standard configurations
  • 2x4 to 2x32 for redundancy (and test access)
  • Wideband performance
  • SC/APC, LC/APC, SC or LC connectors

PLC Splitters RDB 10416+
Pigtailed PLC (Planar Lightwave Circuit) splitters that are very compact and therefore suitable for installation into splice trays in joint closures, cabinets or optical termination panels. The splitters are available with one or two input ports and up to 64 output ports. G657A fiber enables minimum bending radius and facilitates installation in small splice trays.

  • Split ratio: 1x2, 2x2, 1x4 to 1x64, 2x4 to 2x32
  • Input: pigtail 250µm G657A
  • Output: fiber ribbon G657A
