TDMA is a technology for digital transmission of radio signals. The frequency band is split into a number of channels. Each channel is split into time units, allowing a large number of user to share access in a time ordered sequence without interfering with one another. TDMA technology is for example used by the GSM, GPRS and EDGE accesses.
TDMA is also the name of a system based on the ANSI/TIA/EIA-136 standard.
