What's on show at Ericsson, Telecom Asia 2002

Ericsson, the leader in the world of mobile communications will display and provides unique insights into the future of communications during the Telecom Asia, on December 2 - 7, 2002.

In the Ericsson stand located in Hall 1, no.1130 at the Hong Kong Convention Center, visitors will be able to see live MMS demonstrations, Multimedia streaming and Ericsson's 3G solutions.

The telecommunications market in Asia Pacific is growing rapidly and Ericsson is delighted to participate in Telecom Asia 2002," says Ragnar Bäck, President Ericsson Asia Pacific. "Telecom Asia gives us the opportunity to meet with our customers in Asia Pacific and assist them in different solutions they require in order to grow their network."
On December 3, Ragnar Bäck, President Ericsson Asia Pacific, will participate as the keynote speaker in "Asia and WTO - Market Opportunities" 2.00-3.30 p.m. The forum will focus on specific market opportunities in the Information and Communications Technology sector.

On December 4, Mats Olsson, Business Unit Mobile Systems WCDMA & GSM, Ericsson AB, will participate as one of the panelists in "Critical IP-based Network Issues" in the Forum, 11.00 am - 12.30 p.m.

The Ericsson stand:

- Live MMS demonstration - Mobile messaging is evolving beyond text by taking a development path from SMS to EMS to MMS. Ericsson will show examples of applications/content that will lead to GPRS traffic and Mobile Internet revenues.

- Multimedia streaming - Ericsson will demonstrate live how users will be able to stream content on their mobile handset, either their own video clips or ready made clips like news and sports.
