RIMA QURESHI - session 2

Senior Vice President and Head of Business Unit CDMA Mobile Systems, Ericsson
Member of the Executive Leadership Team
Rima Qureshi also serves as head of Ericsson Response. Before assuming this position she was head of the AT&T Improvement Program within Market Unit North America.
 
Rima holds a Bachelor's degree of Information Systems and a Master's degree of administration, McGill University, Montreal, Canada.

DOUGLAS L. GILSTRAP - session 1, 2, 3

Senior Vice President and Head of Group Function Strategy, Ericsson
Member of the Executive Leadership Team

Prior to assuming this position, Douglas L. Gilstrap was CFO and Co-Founder of Asia Pacific Exploration Consolidated (APEC). He was appointed CFO, then COO to Equant Network Services. In 2000, Douglas was named CEO of Radianz, and later strategic advisor for Cable & Wireless for three years.
 
Douglas holds a Bachelor in accounting from the University of Richmond and an MBA from Emory University in Atlanta, and has also attended the select executive program at Insead, France.

JOHAN WIBERGH - session 1

Prior to assuming this position, Johan Wibergh was President of Ericsson Brazil. Other experience includes President of Market Unit Nordic and Baltics, Vice President and head of Sales at Business Unit Global Services.
 
Johan holds a Master of Computer Science, Linköping Institute of Technology.

MATS H OLSSON - session 1

Head of Market Unit Greater China, Ericsson
Member of the Executive Leadership Team

Mats Olsson has been posted in various countries in Asia during his career at Ericsson. In 2004, he was appointed president of Ericsson Greater China with overall responsibility for mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, leading a regional team of more than 9,000 employees.
 
Mats holds a Master of Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics.

DR. FAN GANG - session 1

Director of the National Institute of Economic Research, and Chairman, China Reform Foundation (NERI-China).
Dr. Fan Gang has been advisor to various departments of Chinese Central government and provincial governments and international organizations.
 
Dr. Fan Gang is the Fellow of Chinese Economists Society (USA) since 1993, and fellow and “Global Leader for Tomorrow” of the World Economic Forum since 1995.
 
He is listed as one of the “World’s Top 100 Public Intellectuals” jointly by Foreign Policy and Prospect, in 2005 and 2008 consecutively.

LI SHANYOU - session 2

Founder and CEO of Ku6.com
Mr. Li Shanyou is one of China’s most prominent internet pioneers. He joined China’s leading Internet portal Sohu.com in October 2000 and became Editor-in-chief of Sohu News Centre in October 2001. Li Shanyou founded Ku6.com in April 2006, which Shengda, one of China’s leading online gaming and entertainment companies listed on Nasdaq, acquired in November 2009. Prior to joining Sohu, he worked in Motorola and Alcoa for several years.
 
Li Shanyou graduated from the Mathematics Dept of Tianjin-based Nankai University and has a MBA from China European Institute for Business Studies.

DR. GONG YU - session 3

Founder of focus.com.cn and CEO of Baidu Video Company
Mr Gong Yu joined Baidu in Jan 2010, as the CEO of Baidu Video Company, providing Chinese netizens with high-definition video contents including movies, TV series and sports.
 
In 1999 he founded China’s first real estate portal www.focus.com.cn. In April 2008 he was appointed responsible for all 2008 Beijing Olympics-related tasks, including official Olympics website development and Olympics-related contents.
 
Born in 1968 in Beijing, Gong Yu obtained a Doctorate Degree in automation from Qinghua University in 1996.

CATHAYA XU - session 2

Head of ConsumerLab China, Ericsson
Cathaya Xu is Ericsson’s local expert on market segmentation and consumer insight and foresight.
 
Cathaya Xu has over 10 years’ professional experience in China’s telecommunication industry through working with top-tier multinational vendors and telecom focused consulting firms. She is also a key member in Ericsson's consulting projects towards mobile operators, with experiences from China and abroad.
 
Cathaya holds a masters degree from Beijing Institute of Technology, and a MBA from Queen’s University in Canada.

PÄR KARLSSON - session 2

Head of Client Group, ConsumerLab, Ericsson
Pär Karlsson is a global expert on consumer and market insights and acts as an advisor within Ericsson and with Ericsson’s customers.
 
Pär has been with Ericsson ConsumerLab for 10 years and previous to his current role, he was a regional manager for ConsumerLab in Asia Pacific 2005 to 2007.
  
Pär holds a bachelor degree of economics from Lund’s University.

BILL HUANG - session 1

General Manager of China Mobile Research Institute
Bill Huang has over 21 years experience in the development of key communication technologies. He has in-depth experience and striking thoughts in the areas of next generation mobile switching systems, IP media streaming, Operation Support Systems as well as Value Added Services.
 
Previously, he was Senior Vice President and CTO of UTStarcom, Inc. Mr. Huang holds a Master of
Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Illinois.

KLAUS ESTRUGO ECKSTEIN - Session 3

Innovation Director, China R&D, Ericsson
Klaus Estrugo Eckstein is the Director of System and Technology for Business Unit Multimedia, and Innovation Director, China R&D, driving the innovation projects in the R&D organization.

Prior to this position Klaus Estrugo Eckstein was the Director of System and Technology for Business Unit Networks, playing an integral role in promoting and qualifying Ericsson’s innovative solutions on the Chinese market. Klaus Estrugo Eckstein was born in Madrid in 1969 and joined Ericsson in 1995.

CHARLES MOON - Session 1

Principal Analyst, Asia Pacific, Informa
Charles Moon looks at a broad range of telecommunications sectors in Asia Pacific, focusing on mobile strategies in the areas of mobile applications and marketing, wireless broadband, device distribution and the evolving role of operators within the consumer and enterprise segments.
 
In addition, Charles also focuses on the business models of emerging market operators, analyzing how they combat high churn and low ARPU through innovative mobile data and distribution strategies.

ANDREAS EHN - session 3

Former CTO Spotify
Andreas Ehn was the CTO of Spotify from the start of the company, but recently left to work on a new venture that hopes to bring people, places and time together in intelligent ways. Previously he worked at Stardoll, another Swedish startup, and in Silicon Valley. Andreas studied computer science at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and economics and business administration at the Stockholm School of Economics.

KASIM ALFALAHI - session 3

Vice President and Chief Intellectual Property Officer for the for the Ericsson Organization.
Kasim Alfalahi has been with Ericsson since 1995, joining the company after receiving his Master of Science degree in Engineering and Management from Linköping University in Sweden. Kasim Alfalahi started his career at Ericsson by being responsible for Ericsson’s patent portfolio covering the Mobile Systems for North America. Kasim Alfalahi is in his current position responsible for Ericsson’s global IPR organization.

MAO SHIJIE - Session 3

Director of Mobile Internet Service, Lenovo
Mao Shijie has over 10 years experience in Lenovo Cooperate Research. He has in-depth experience on PC Innovation and Mobile Internet Service Innovation. Currently, he is leading Lenovo Mobile Internet App & Service department, and is responsible for the construction of Lenovo Application Store.
 
Mao Shijie holds a bachelor degree from University of Science & Technology of China.

PÄR UHLIN

Moderator of the Ericsson Business Innovation Forum
Pär arrived in China in 1999. He has lived and worked in Beijing, Shanghai and Taipei and is fluent in Chinese, English and Swedish, his native language. Since 2001 Pär is the General Manager of Eastwei Relations, and a trusted senior advisor of several large multinationals in China. Pär has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a Major in International Marketing, and a Masters degree in Asian studies, from the University of Stockholm, Sweden.

ZHU LIJUN

Vice President, China Unicom
Mr. Zhu Lijun has been working in China’s telecom industry for more than three decades. Prior to his current position, Mr. Zhu served as Assistant to General Manager of China Netcom Group and General Manager of Planning and Construction Department, as well as Vice President of China Netcom Group.
  
During the past decades, Mr. Zhu has also taken various leadership roles across China, including Deputy Director-general of Inner Mongolia Communications Administration, General Manager of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Telecom Company Limited and General Manager of Shanxi Netcom.

THIERRY TINGAUD

Senior Vice President and head of the 2G, EDGE, TD-SCDMA and Connectivity Solutions, ST-Ericsson
Mr. Tingaud started his career in 1985 at Thomson Semiconductors. In 1996, he moved to North America as Corporate Strategic Key Account Director for ST’s Headquarters. In 1999, Mr. Tingaud was appointed Vice President for Sales and Marketing of Telecommunications in Europe.
 
Prior to his current position Mr. Tingaud was Senior Vice President and head of Strategy at ST-Ericsson since the company establishment in February 2009.
 
Thierry Tingaud was born near Paris, France, in 1959. He graduated from INSA Lyon in 1982 with a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering and in 1985 he obtained an MBA from Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC).

JAN SIGNELL

Head of Ericsson’s Asia Pacific (APAC) Innovation Center
The newly established APAC Innovation Center will support Ericsson’s regions China & North East Asia, India and South East Asia & Oceania in their work to identify, develop and drive regional innovation for new business activities outside Ericsson’s current core offerings. The goal is to leverage the Ericsson regional and global assets and to facilitate significant new business growth for the company.
   
Mr. Jan Signell is a member of the three regions’ steering groups.

PHILIP TSENG

Vice President, Multimedia, Ericsson Greater China
Mr. Philip Tseng is Vice President of Ericsson Greater China, responsible for the overall operations of Ericsson’s multimedia and system integration business in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
 
Prior to joining Ericsson in 1994, Mr. Tseng served as technical expert with Philips Electronics Taiwan.
 
Philip Tseng was born in Taiwan in 1966. He graduated from Tsing Hua University and holds a Master of Science Degree from Lehigh University, USA, and a Global Telecommunication Management Certificate from Thunderbird Business School, USA.
