To ensure a completely reliable cable system, it is vital that the accessories chosen can be installed so that their electrical and mechanical properties are as good as those of the cable itself.

We have major experience when it comes to developing, installing and testing both taped and vulcanized splices and cable terminations for direct connection to switchgear and oil-filled transformers.

Transition splices between oil-filled cables and XLPE cables have become an important element in situations where modern cables are being used in older cable systems.

Joints and Terminations


Vulcanized splices
used to splice PE cables above 52kV in the field and for marine power cables between 12-170kV. Connection between conductors Al-Al, Cu-Cu and Al-Cu both with the same and different diameters are possible due to the conductor jonting technology used. The vulcanized splice is made under high temperature and pressure. It does not notably exceed the cable diameter.


Transition splices
used to splice XLPE cables to oil-filled pressurized paper-insulated cables.


Gas splices
used to splice XLPE cables to gas-insulated pressurized paper-insulated cables.


Termination for SF6 switchgear and transformers
Used to connect XLPE cables to SF6 switchgear and transformers.


Termination for 145kV and 170kV
This termination with polymeric insulator is used for both indoor and outdoor installations.
