RECRUITMENT TIPS

The recruitment process allows you and Ericsson the chance to get to know each other. So it’s worth thinking carefully about what you’re going to say, and the questions you’ll want to ask.
Application Form
- Take your time filling in the application form.
- This is your opportunity to tell us why you are suitable for the Ericsson graduate scheme – utilise the opportunity!
- Please ensure that all information provided is accurate and up to date – importantly your contact details & academic qualifications.
- When completing the application form be concise
- Use spell check!
- Don’t forget to attach your CV.
Online Testing
- Take advantage of the practice questions available.
- Take the tests at a time suitable to you, that is, when you are not tired and in a quiet place where you will not be disturbed.
Telephone Interview
- Prepare as you would do with a face to face interview, that is, spend some time researching Ericsson and thinking about possible examples that you could use for the competency based questions (examples may relate to university, work or a hobby).
- When you book your telephone interview slot try to ensure that you will be able to take the call in a quiet place where you will not be disturbed.
- During the interview take a moment to think about your answer if necessary – the interviewer will wait! Ask the interviewer to repeat or rephrase a question if anything is unclear.
Assessment Centre
- The assessment centre consists of individual and group activities. There is nothing specific that you should prepare in advance, but we recommend that you do research Ericsson.
- The selection process works both ways - this is your opportunity to visit one of our regional offices and find out more about Ericsson; and during the day you will have the chance to speak with business managers and network with some of our current graduates.
- Ensure that you know where you are going and plan your journey in advance. If for any reason you are running late, try not to panic and let the recruitment team know as soon as you are safely able to do so.
- It is important that you ‘be yourself’ at the assessment centre.
- If you feel a particular exercise does not go well then try not to dwell too much – there are numerous opportunities to demonstrate your skills throughout the day.
