Core Project
Distributed Knowledge Systems and Techniques for Advanced Network Management (Distorm)

The 4 year Marie Curie Transfer of Knowledge program (2005-2009) involves:

  • 6 experienced researchers over the four years duration of the proposal, each for 24 months
  • 4 senior researchers, over the four years duration of the proposal, each employed for up to 6 months over a 2-year period

The current project members are Javier Baliosian (Experienced Researcher) and Francoise Sailhan (Experienced Researcher).

In 2006, Jarle G. Hulaas (Senior Researcher) and Anne-Marie Bosneag (Experienced Researcher) joined. One vacancy still exists from 2006 for an Experienced Researcher in the field of Knowledge Engineering.

These world class researchers work alongside and transfer knowledge to existing Ericsson researchers and are responsible for the specific technical areas of:

  • Highly distributed and secure management platforms based on P2P
    (Francoise Sailhan)
  • Advanced knowledge engineering techniques (knowledge representation schemas or ontologies) (Javier Baliosian)

These researchers are part of the Ericsson Network Management Research Centre and will be supervised by Professor Gerard Parr of University of Ulster.
