Ericsson Pavilion
The Pavilion is an extraordinary, first-class facility that showcases our technical expertise and business solutions. Much of the action will happen in the pavilion, including customer seminars, live demonstrations, meetings and social events.
Ericsson Mobile Experience Center
The Ericsson Mobile Experience Center will be located alongside the Ericsson Pavilion in the Race Village. It will house additional demonstrations for customers as well as the general public.
Race Village
The Ericsson Pavilion, along with the Mobile Experience Center, will be situated in the heart of the Race Village at Fan Pier in Boston.
In-Port Race
On Saturday, May 9, Ericsson Racing Team will compete in the In-Port Race in Boston Harbor, which is a critical component of the Volvo Ocean Race. Not only do the in-port races award 20% of the total race points, but they are an integral part of the spectacle of the race. This is the closest that the public can see the 60 foot yachts battle in very close quarters. Ericsson has arranged spectator boats for you to watch the in-port race. Pro-Am Race
On Sunday, May 10, customers will have the opportunity to experience firsthand the physical and mental intensity of sailing in the Pro-Am Race, a new element for the 2008-09 event. The 2-3 hour event will also be held in the Boston Harbor. Ericsson has arranged spectator boats for you to watch the Pro-Am race. Race Re-start
Ericsson’s two racing yachts (Ericsson 3 and 4) leave the Boston Harbor and race to Galway, Ireland. Ericsson has arranged spectator boats for you to watch the race restart. Please contact your account manager if you would like to be a part of this activity.
