Brian Fitzpatrick

Vice President, Business Development

 

Brian Fitzpatrick is Vice President of Business Development at EFI focused on federal civilian agencies as well as the state and local market.

 

Brian's experience includes similar positions at Northrop Grumman Corporation and Siemens as well as 15 years of federal government service.

 

Brian is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University.

 

 

 

John Klopacz

Vice President, Sales & Business Development, DoD/SATCOM

 

John Klopacz is a Vice President of Sales & Business Development for Ericsson Federal Inc. (EFI). In this role he is primarily responsible for leading EFI's field sales organization as it works to facilitate broad adoption of Ericsson's world class solutions into federal, state and local government agencies as well as the commercial SATCOM marketplace. John is an experienced sales, sales management, and business development executive.

 

Prior to his current role, John led Nortel Government Solutions Department of Defense global sales and business development organization, where he consistently increased annual revenues by successfully penetrating key growth areas including optical transport, applications, and services. He also held a variety of sales, sales management, and business development roles within Nortel’s Service Provider & Carrier organization.

 

John earned his B.A. in International Affairs from Marquette University and completed an Executive Management Course at the University of Notre Dame. John is a member of AFCEA, the Navy League, and the Marine Corps Association. He is currently an Infantry Officer in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and is a veteran of both Operation Restore Hope and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

 

 

 

Kristin Oelke

Vice President, Marketing

 

Kristin Oelke is the Vice President of Marketing for Ericsson Federal Inc. In her role, she is focused on driving awareness of EFI and creating demand for its award-winning solutions portfolio across the US federal, state and local governments. 

 

Prior to joining Ericsson, Kristin was the Director of Marketing for Sun Microsystems Federal, Inc. where she led the marketing team in strategic development and tactical implementation of the company's marketing. 

 

Kristin holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master's degree in communications from Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, Ill.

 

 

 

Tim Shalvey

Director of Business Development

 

Mr. Tim Shalvey recently joined Ericsson Federal, Inc. as Director of Business Development focusing on Federal, State, and Local Civilian markets. Tim brings over 20 years of sales expertise in IT communications with a proven ability to identify need, strategically plan and effectively position solutions meeting the rigorous challenges of the technology marketplace. His achievements have been validated by numerous Sales Excellence Awards and Recognitions.

 

From 2005 to 2009, Tim was Director of Strategic Alliances for Nortel Government Solutions making a direct impact on the Federal Integrator market. While at Nortel, Tim was instrumental in driving solutions that supported mission critical networks for the Federal Aviation Administration and the United States Air Force.  Prior to Nortel Government Solutions, Tim held Sales Executive positions with Cisco Systems and Verizon Business. Tim spent these years developing long-term client relationships and providing effective communication solutions for the Federal, State and Internet Service Provider markets. 

 

Tim holds a Bachelor of Information Science Degree from Johnson & Wales University, RI.

 

 

 

Captain Albert Thomas USN (RET)

Vice President for Business Development Ericsson Federal

 

Captain Thomas is responsible for business development for Intelligence and Defense accounts in Ericsson Federal Inc. He has been with Ericsson since 2006 when he retired from the US NAVY.

 

Captain Thomas was a Level III Acquisition Professional in NAVSEA from 1996-2006. He served as the Sea Warrior requirements officer. In that role he aligned the Navy's manpower personnel and training Enterprise into an Acquisition Program in PEO EIS. As Deputy Director for Human Systems Integration (NAVSEA 03) he provided Technical Authority and Program Oversight for Human Systems Integration on all NAVSEA Acquisition Programs and was the Acquisition Chair of the Manpower Personnel Training & Education Business Architecture Team. Captain Thomas established the Joint Fires Network (Now DCGS-N) Program in NAVSEA. JFN provided Joint and Networked Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, Fires and targeting data to Naval Ships and shore units.  CAPTAIN Thomas fielded 20 systems from 1996 to 2004. These systems were used in Combat Operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.  He also started an S & Ku band Communication/Data link Phased Array Antenna Development programs. He established the Naval Reserve's Littoral Surveillance System Program and delivered the 1st operational unit to Whiteman AFB. Captain Thomas seagoing career culminated as Executive Officer, USS HARLAN COUNTY (LST-1196). He served in a variety of shipboard assignments on 5 different US Navy Surface Warships from 1981 to 1995 including Damage Control Assistant onboard USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN-71 in 1993-1994. He is a veteran of Operation Restore Hope, Somalia, (03/1994 - 04/1995) Operations DENY Flight, in Bosnia and Southern Watch, Red Sea, (04/1992 - 02/1994) Desert Shield/Storm, Persian Gulf, (06/1990 - 03/1992) UNITAS XXV, (04/1985 - 08/1987) and US Naval operations off the coast of Beirut Lebanon in 1983.

 

Captain Thomas earned a Master of Science in Military Studies, from the Marine Corps University, Quantico, VA and a Bachelor of Science in Resource Management,  from the U.S. Naval Academy, in Annapolis, MD.  He holds DAWIA Program Management Level 3 and the Qualified for Command US Navy Surface Ships accreditations. While serving in the Armed Forces Captain Thomas received numerous Awards including multiple Legion of Merit,  Meritorious Service Medals and Navy Commendation Medals.
