Our widely deployed GPRS Support Nodes (GSN), enabling GPRS packet data, help you to meet the growing demand for data services. Both these nodes and the Mobile Softswitch Solution are dual access (GSM and WCDMA combined) and support the deployment of IP technology. Low-entry solutions allow you to easily and cost-effectively scale-up capacity in your network; from GSM you can evolve to EDGE and then move on to WCDMA and HSPA.

Scalability is also important when it comes to our radio access portfolio. Whether you want to increase capacity or extend coverage into new areas, our lightweight radio base stations use substantially less power and allow you to combine WCDMA and GSM units at the same site. And with superior radio performance and flexible configurations, the number of radio sites can be reduced by as much as 30 percent.

We put great care and effort into building our radio networks and have developed a collection of cost-effective radio site solutions for specific environmental scenarios. Examples include indoor and outdoor macro sites, as well as rooftop and main-remote solutions, all with minimum footprint.

In order to handle increased capacity in both access and core networks, physical transmission has to be in place. Our transmission and transport solutions support all relevant technologies, such as Plesiochronous Digital Hierarchy (PDH), Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) and carrier-grade Ethernet, as well as transmission over satellite. We cover microwave, fiber and copper – owned, built or leased – and bring telecom-quality IP solutions, enabling an all-IP evolution regardless of the legacy network.
