International Women’s Day - 2017
Ericsson will be celebrating International Women's Day 2017 in many ways under the umbrella of the United Nation's global campaign #BeBoldForChange during March 6-17.
The Living Library
In the Living Library, we offer our employees a global platform for connections and relationship-building. In a Living Library, books are people and reading is a conversation. We have close to 90 books in our library, and just as in an ordinary library, visitors may browse for books (i.e. interesting people to connect with) and select one or several books that appeal to them, make a reservation to check out that book for a limited time (i.e. sign up for a meeting with the individual), read it (listen/talk/discuss/be inspired), and return it.
The Living Library gives us the chance to reach beyond the surface to get to know someone we have never met before, share experiences, challenges and passions to build understanding, expand our networks, gain insights and even challenge prejudice.
On the journey toward gender equality we support the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We are a leading advocate for the role of ICT in demonstrating the positive impacts that technology can have on society.
Education of women and girls is our focus of Connect to Learn program. We are improving the quality and access to secondary education. Today, 70,000 students in 22 countries benefit from the program."Valter D'Avino, Head of Region West & Central Europe
