‘Being a Services Engineer is the best job in the world because there is so much variety. No two days are the same. In my role, I design, integrate and troubleshoot IP networks. It’s technical work but I need good people skills too, because I often work on-site, directly with customers. Those sites can be all around the globe too. I can go to sleep in Germany and then start the next working day in South Africa! It really is impossible to get bored!
‘There are so many different projects at Ericsson that you role can take you anywhere around the world. Working globally – but also thinking globally too – is natural here. You’ll work with different customers and different colleagues, in diverse cultures. And all the time, you’ll enjoy being part of a great company. The training I’ve received at Ericsson has been amazing. Everyone here wants to do their best and make a difference and the organisation always supports you. That makes my proud to say I work for Ericsson.
‘I chose to join Ericsson 5 years ago and, back then, Ericsson stood out as being an industry leader that could still innovate and change. I chose well. Ericsson has surpassed all my expectations. We’re always looking forward the next big challenge in technology, whether that is The Internet of Things or Cloud and Virtualisation. There are always interesting questions to answer – and often, Ericsson is the only one capable of providing the answers. You know that what you are doing is valuable and that makes me proud to say I work for Ericsson.
‘If anything has surprised me, it has been the quality of the work-life balance. Ericsson is full of ambitious, driven people. But you are also given lots of support and help to achieve your aspirations in and out of work. The company always treats it’s employees as individuals and with respect.’

Important notice: fraudulent job offers
It has come to our attention that emails and job adverts have been created and circulated by unknown individuals for the purpose of attempting to defraud candidates.
Potential candidates should be wary of approaches that appear to be offering a job for which they have not applied, especially if personal details or money must be sent in order to proceed with the recruitment. Neither Ericsson nor any commissioned third parties recruit in this manner. Such approaches are almost certainly fraudulent attempts to gain details of identity for illegal use.
Ericsson is taking all necessary steps to investigate this matter further.
